Check Huawei AI cloud enhancement feature photo samples, it can even increase quality of a 50 people group photo

Today, Huawei released a new software update for Huawei Mate 60 Pro and Mate X5 smartphones. This firmware brings a new AI cloud image enhancement feature and we now have some of its photo samples.

This is the newest feature of these new Huawei flagship phones. It is quite interesting for the consumers and allows them to improve the photograph of a past memory or an important image. To showcase, Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO, Yu Chengdong shared photo samples of this AI cloud enhancement feature with a comparison of before and after.

Using this feature is very simple, you need to open the Gallery app and then tap on the magic wand tool in the options menu. The device will then process the image to prepare it for cloud upload. Then the algorithm will polish and share the image back on the device.

Cloud Side:

On the cloud server, the feature uses the cloud’s billion-level parameter large model algorithm. It captures and restores the tiny details hidden in the image, bringing a clearer and more detailed portrait experience. Specifically, the skin texture is improved and makes it more delicate with the following three algorithms:

• Portrait enhancement algorithm
• Background enhancement algorithm
• Bright color enhancement algorithm

In terms of corrections, the feature allows you to enhance a photograph of a group of 50 people or a single photo. The samples show that you can crop the large group photo twice before and after being enhanced by the cloud service.

Flagship Feature:

Currently, this new capability is only available for the Mate 60 Pro and Mate X5 smartphones and it may not enter the standard model. Eventually, the photo samples show that the Huawei AI cloud enhancement feature is very effective in terms of achieving good photo quality.
