Camera, Calls and Huawei Assistant update rolling out for Honor 8X in Europe

Honor is rolling out a new update for Honor 8X in Europe, which includes important improvements for the camera, calling, and system. It also installs the latest Huawei Assistant feature.

A month ago, users in other regions also received Huawei Assistant with April security patches, followed by May 2020 security patches.

Honor 8X

UPDATE CHANGELOG:

Calls: Fixed an issue where the Call Transfer feature would not work in some situations.

Camera: Changed the default status of some Camera settings.

Huawei Assistant: Adds Huawei Assistant to the home screen. Huawei Assistant provides smart reminders, offers personalized news content, and other content relevant to you.

System: This update improves system compatibility with certain third-party applications.

Security: Integrates Android security patches released in May 2020 for improved system security.

MAY 2020 SECURITY DETAILS:

The May 2020 security update brings Android patches from Huawei and Google, fixing different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 2 critical and 22 high and 2 Medium levels of CVEs.

VERSION:

These latest improvements and Huawei Assistant for Honor 8X rolling out with EMUI version 10.0.0.196. This update has a size of 631MB and it comes in two packages.
