Huawei P50 Pro is receiving the first software update that installs new improvements for the Gallery and optimizes the camera features for a better photography experience.

According to the changelog, this software update for the Huawei P50 Pro comes with HarmonyOS 2 version 2.0.0.175 upgrading from HarmonyOS 2.0.0.135/150.

If we look in detail, the Gallery app has now added a new feature “More” in the editing mode. While editing a photograph, the eliminates the defects in a simple background to optimize the overall image quality.

On the other hand, the update also installs important optimizations for the Camera app to improve the photo effect of the camera in some situations to improve the output image.

Important Update Notes:

  1. All users can upgrade to the latest version via System settings
  2. It’s recommended to keep sufficient device storage before installing this update
  3. The downloaded package will be deleted after the installation
  4. Do not force shutdown the device during the installation process
  5. Back up important data to avoid data loss.

On August 12, Huawei initiated the first official sale of the Huawei P50 Pro in China. The phone comes with the following prices:

  • 128GB memory variant priced at 5988 Yuan
  • 256GB memory variant priced at 6488 Yuan
  • 512GB memory variant priced at 7488 Yuan
