BYD ties up with Huawei to adopt ADS 3.0 for off-road vehicles
Reports regarding BYD’s use of Huawei smart car solutions have now turned out to be true. Amid the news, BYD has partnered with Huawei to adopt the Qiankun ADS 3.0 solution for its off-road electric vehicles, starting with the Leopard 8 SUV.
Both Huawei and BYD have confirmed their cooperation by signing a new agreement. Under this intelligent driving deal, the firms will promote the growth and development of BYD vehicles. The first product in this segment will be the Leopard 8 SUV.
Leopard 8 or the Bao 8 falls under the Fangchengbao line. Launched in June 2023, this brand develops performance-based cars like off-road or track-focused vehicles.
Inputs reveal that BYD will launch its Leopard 8 vehicles later this year, equipped with the Huawei Qiankun ADS 3.0 solution. With this implementation, the SUV will become the world’s first hard-core vehicle running on the Huawei driving solution.
Hereafter, both parties will continue to develop high-end off-road EVs with superior technologies, and advanced Huawei smart car solutions.

Qiankun ADS 3.0:
The third-gen autonomous driving solution comes with various advanced capabilities. It brings more human-like but better and safer assistance that makes the driving experience more efficient. It relies on the forward + lateral + rearward collision avoidance protocol. Even if you accidentally accelerate, your car won’t harm anyone.
Other features of ADS 3.0 count remote parking that offers brilliant driving and navigation assistance. The feature responds precisely even in complex turning or parking points. For instance, gates, narrow paths, U-turns, and other situations.
Users can even leave the car and it will automatically park itself using the car computer. Voice commands and quick controls are also present in the ADS 3.0.

BYD and Huawei’s partnership reflects the growing demand for smart and efficient car solutions in the automobile markets. Several brands are working on advanced techs that can help them rival their competitors and pace ahead in the automobile race.
Apart from BYD, tech giants like Audi are also planning to adopt Huawei ADS 3.0 solutions. Thus, Huawei is taking new and significant steps to expand its smart car solutions business in the home ground.
