Breaking: Trump officially indicates to lift “Trade Ban” from Huawei
At G20 2019 summit, the U.S. president Donald Trump and Chinese president Xi Jinping met and talked about the ongoing trade issues between two countries and after the discussion, Trump announced in a press conference that Huawei would again be able to purchase U.S. technologies.
Speaking to the media in Osaka, Trump said that the US sells a “tremendous amount of product” to Huawei. “That’s okay, we will keep selling that product,”
“The (US) companies were not exactly happy that they couldn’t sell,” he added.
Back in May, the US Commerce Department added Huawei and its affiliates to the “Entity List” or simply called a trade blacklist – an action that bans Huawei from buying components and software services from U.S. firms.
President Trump has appeared to soften his tone on Chinese communications giant Huawei, suggesting that he would allow the company to once again purchase US technology https://t.co/4YNJCyKLTg pic.twitter.com/jr45f40ghP
