[Started for Beta Testers] Honor 8X starts receiving stable EMUI 10

January 24, 2020:

Honor 8X EMUI 10 beta testers in India started receiving the stable patch with the size of over 600MB (Same EMUI version) and December 2019 security.

January 20, 2020:

According to the information, the Honor 8X users who participated in the EMUI 10 beta program yet to receive a stable EMUI 10 patch. There’s no official date announced but it is expected that Honor may initiate the rollout very soon.

January 17, 2020:

Honor has refused to install EMUI 10 for well specs smartphones such as Honor Play. On the other hand, the company has promised to send the same OS upgrade for devices such as Honor 8X and by moving forward, the company has finally begun to roll the latest EMUI version for 8X users.

The Android 10 based EMUI 10 brings new features and changes in user interface including the dark mode, magazine-style UI layout, Morandi UI color system, and more.

Honor India has recently closed the beta program of EMUI 10 for Honor 8X and said, the stable version of the Android 10 release can be expected by the third week of January 2020.

Version and expansion:

The new upgraded Operating System for Honor 8X comes with version 10.0.0.170 with 3.53GB size and confirmed in the Indian model. Honor will expand this update in batches for global users.

Via Settings:

1. Open Settings
2. Click on ‘System’
3. Click on ‘Software update’
4. Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
5. Click on ‘Download and install’

Via HiCare:

1. Open HiCare app
2. Click on ‘Services’ tab
3. Click on ‘Update’
4. Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
5. Click on ‘Download and install’
