Recently, the Beidou testing and certification Conference was held in Beijing jointly with the China Academy of Information and Communication Technology and China Power 54. During the event, a list of the first batch of devices was published, which are now Beidou certified.

According to the information, seven products have received the certification and models are from Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, and Apple. The notable thing is that Huawei didn’t make its presence in the first batch of devices.

This is an important milestone in the large-scale use of China’s Beidou testing and certification services. This marks the establishment of the country’s mobile phone Beidou testing and certification system, and public consumption of Beidou products has entered a new phase of Beidou certification.

Currently, Android and iPhones support Beidou’s positioning. So it’s not surprising that Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi and Apple grabbed the certificate. Later on, the Kirin processor also fully supports Beidou’s positioning and supports the global mainstream positioning system.

About Beidou:

Beidou is a Chinese satellite navigation system consisting of two separate satellite constellations. In 2020, China announced the completion of a global Beidou satellite navigation and positioning system.
