August 2022 EMUI update rolling out for Huawei Nova 7i users
Huawei has started the distribution of August 2022 firmware with its devices. After a long run, the Huawei Nova 7i is also getting the August 2022 EMUI security update to boost up the smartphone with the improvements in the security section.
According to the changelog, Huawei has released the August 2022 update for Nova 7i with EMUI 12.0.0.242 (C636E4R5P4) build version and the update carries a package size of 314 Megabytes. The update has nothing new to explore except the security patches.
The August 2022 update integrates the security patches into the system to fix the vulnerabilities in the previous software and provide an enhanced experience to the users. Currently, it is rolling out in Australian markets and will soon expand to other regions as well.
How to get the update:
Via Settings:
- Go to the Settings app on your smartphone.
- Click on the Software update option under System & Updates.
- Click on the Check for updates option.
- If the update is available, click on the Download and Install option.
- After installation restarts your phone.
Previous EMUI update: June 2022
The Huawei Nova 7i smartphone has previously received the June 2022 security patches with the EMUI version 12.0.0.234 with a package size of 231 MB.
The June 2022 update also integrated the security patches into the system for enhanced security and stability of the smartphone. This update was a bit late for the Nova 7i users as it arrived in August.
Although, the June 2022 and the August 2022 updates come along with the security patches and there are no new changes bought by both the updates. Yet we suggest you get the latest update as soon as it reaches you.
