AR measurement application released for Honor 30S with November security
Honor has begun sending a new security update for Honor 30S users. This update comes with new features including Huawei Education Center, AR measurement application, and installs the latest November 2020 security update that improves the system security.
Aside from this, Honor has closed the Magic UI 4 beta testing for Honor 30 users in China by sending the stable Magic UI 4 version. However, Honor 30S is also eligible for Magic UI 4 beta testing but, the company didn’t reveal any information regarding this yet.
What’s New in this update:
- Added the Huawei Education Center application to create more learning environments for children.
- Added AR measurement function, which can measure object length, breadth, height, area, and volume.
- Installs the November 2020 security patch
Version: Honor 30S users grabbing the Magic UI 3.1 version 3.1.1.199, which is upgraded from 3.1.1.197

- Currently, this update is rolling out in China.
- The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
- The update will not erase any data
HOW TO UPDATE:
Download via Settings:
- Open Settings
- Click on the System & updates
- Open Software update
- Tap on Check for updates option
- If an update is available, click on Download and install
- After installation Reboot the device
Download via Support app:
- Open the Support app on your device
- Go to the Service tab
- Click on the update button
- Tap on Check for update option
- If an update is available, click on Download and install
- After installation Reboot the device.
