Android 15 may feature ‘Contacts Storage’ page for easier backup
Android 15 could make contacts backup easier than ever with a significant “Contacts Storage” page. The page will enable users to select a particular account for saving their contacts. One can also opt for different options regarding this backup.
Google Contacts has the facility to save your contacts in a specific account. Although not every app supports such services. But this might change with Android 15.
Mishaal Rahman (via Android Authority) noted that Google is readying a new Contacts Storage page for Android 15. The analyst found a few strings related to the new contacts storing page in the latest QPR2 Beta 1 update.
These strings hint at having certain toggles like:
- Select a contact to sync contacts to
- Add an account
- Disable contact syncing completely
One of the benefits of the Contacts Storage page is that you don’t have to stress if the Contacts app will back up all your “contacts” or not. Just set the feature and it will take care of the rest of the things. You can check the Contacts Storage page below.
Other features and capabilities of the new Contacts Storage page are unclear at the moment. Although Google may detail the useful feature in the upcoming days.
Mishaal further noted that the latest storage page addition is still in the development phase. It’s uncertain how much time the page will take to go official. However, users may discover this new setting in the next quarterly release of Android 15.
