After Beta 4, Google is bringing a minor bug fixer update in the form of Android 15 Beta 4.1. The firmware is rolling out to selected Pixel phones that were dealing with a nasty calling issue. If you are facing the same problem then install the new update.

Google is releasing the Android 15 Beta 4.1 update with the AP31.240617.010 version. It holds a single bug fix related to the calling issue of Pixel handsets.

Inputs reveal that Android 15 beta 4 installation led some Pixel users to face voice call problems. During an ongoing call, the audio used to drop out or cut off for a few seconds and resumes when switching to speaker mode. A user explained:

“When I have phone calls the microphone stops working in the middle of the call. My counterpart can not understand me anymore. I was able to repeat that error but it’s not on every call. The microphone started working again in the call when I switched between speakers and phone.”

It looks like the company has now fixed this issue with the latest 4.1 beta update. The update does support all devices like Pixel 6 series, Pixel 7 series, Pixel 8 series, Tablet, and Fold. Though it will mainly work for those dealing with the problem.

  • Fixed various issues that sometimes caused device audio to crash while making or receiving calls.

The new firmware carries a software package of 3.55MB. Being a small-sized build, you don’t have to stress the device’s storage space. The company is pushing off the update gradually and will soon approach all the eligible units.
