Android 15 beta 3 update is out for Pixel users but it accompanies a nasty lock screen bug that you might face right after the installation. According to the new details, the latest testing build has poorly affected the lock screen experience.

After upgrading to the Android 15 Beta 3, some Pixel users reported that their phone’s lock screen had become useless due to a crash bug. While trying to swipe away the notifications on the lock screen, the smartphone demands authentication.

It automatically opens the number pad, prompting users to enter their PIN on the device. Users further added that the issue occurs every time they try to remove notifications from the lock screen. A user described the entire problem and said:

“To delete multiple notifications, I have to swipe left to delete it, then swipe from the edge to get out of the number pad again, and only then I am able to delete the next notification.”

Another user noted a similar kind of problem, but when capturing photos. Whenever he tried to open the camera app, it asked to unlock the device. The problem is the same for turning on the flashlight. These issues are mainly affecting Pixel 6 Pro and 7 handsets.

A quick bandaid to this problem is restarting the device. This is a temporary fix that may help users to patch up the bug. While we expect that Google will soon resolve this issue with a quick patch rollout in the time ahead.
