Android 14 is turning toward a stable release because Google has now announced Beta 4 of this upcoming Android version for Pixel devices.

With this release, the software is near ready for the stable version and we may soon see a positive announcement from the Android maker.

“Beta 4 is our second Platform Stable Android 14 release, which means that the developer APIs and all app-facing behaviors are final for you to review and integrate into your apps, and you can publish apps on Google Play to devices running Android 14 at the official API level. It’s a good time to finish compatibility testing and publish any necessary updates to ensure a smooth app experience ahead of the final release of Android 14 later this year.” wrote Google in the developer blog.

Android 14 Beta 4 (UPB4.230623.005) with the July 2023 security patch is available for the Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet, and Pixel Fold, as well as the Android Emulator.

Also, users of these devices have the option to sideload the build or flash the ROM using the official method.

According to the current roadmap, Android 14 is aiming for launch somewhere in early August. However, we’ll have to wait for more official details.
