An alleged Huawei AITO M8 smart car leaked in spy shots
Huawei did transfer the AITO trademark to SERES but it will continue to play a vital role in AITO car-making. That gets clear with the latest spy shots of alleged Huawei AITO M8 SUV. After the M7 and M9, SERES might launch the 8-number series.
Some tipsters have shared the spy shots of a new SUV being tested on the road. The overall design and posture of the smart car appeared similar to the newly launched M9 model. Meanwhile, the size seemingly ranges between the M7 and M9 variants.
Other details count various straight lines on the car layout. It may also use the AITO M9-like taillight capability to provide a unique lighting pattern when driving. Note that the car doesn’t show any LiDAR unit, unlike the AITO M9 SUV.

ADS 3.0 SE supports smart driving assistance for highways or urban expressways with ramp access/exits. We may find more tweaks on this topic in future.
The spy shots further hint that the Huawei-powered AITO M8 SUV could be a five-seater product. A few interior images indicate that the new model uses the same tri-display design as the M9. The overall structure is quite similar to the AITO M9.
Last month, Huawei sold its AITO trademark and some patents to SERES for $343 million. The company did so to comply with Chinese rules. As per the information, the brand manufacturer and owner should belong to the same entity.
Huawei has said that it will continue to serve as a solution supplier and won’t jump into car making. Hence, it transferred the trademark to SERES. Read More…
