Alleged Huawei P70 render shows square-shaped rear camera system

Huawei P70 series has finally shown up in a render leak, reflecting significant changes in the rear camera module. It seems as if the tech giant will not only upgrade optical features for the approaching device but also the design segment.

Weibo tipster @DigitalChatStation has dropped an alleged render of the Huawei P70, revealing the rear camera system. Unlike the P60 handset which has a rectangular lens setup, the new render shows a squarish framework.

Looking into the image, the optical module includes a large lens at the center which is suspected to be the main camera. Besides, the ultra-wide angle lens and periscope sensor are positioned at both sides of the primary shooter. Finally, the flash appears on the left edge of the camera frame.

Compared to the P60 series, the Huawei P70 render shows increased module area. Moving on, the device has curved edges with volume rockers and a power button on the left side. Whereas, the front face remains a mystery.

Being an alleged render, we cannot mark any confirmation on the appearance of the Huawei P70. However, the leak suggests that the company has big plans for the optical structure of the upcoming flagship.

Huawei P60:

The ultimate smartphone packs a rectangular camera bump to house a triple-lens arrangement. This consists of a giant circular lens in the midst whereas, two small lenses at the sides.

On the flip side, the setup involves a 48MP Ultra Lighting Camera, a 13MP Ultra-Wide Angle lens, and a 48MP Ultra Light telephoto sensor. These lenses bear outstanding performance for freezing motions and low-light capturing.

Huawei P70 series – Upgraded Cameras

Previous reports claim that the Chinese tech maker will implement new and powerful lenses in the P70 lineup. This counts an improved main camera and an enriched telephoto sensor. Meanwhile, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Huawei will use a refined ultra-wide angle lens for the P70 handset, supplied by Genius Electronic Optical.

In addition, the company also hearsay testing new camera sensors like IMX 989 and OV50H for this lineup. These sensors effectively offer better lighting and dazzling shots. Ahead, a glass-plastic hybrid lens is also on this list.

Just like its predecessor, Huawei P70 is tipped to launch in March 2024. By that time, we may come across more new changes in terms of design and camera segments.
