Alleged Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 tablet could launch next month
An alleged Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2-inch tablet has surfaced online. This tablet is said to equip high-end capabilities, powerful charging, as well as a mysterious Kirin chip. Perhaps, the company could introduce this device in August 2024 (next month).
Huawei is seemingly developing several new tablets and some of these could launch next month. The details aren’t official yet. Although a recent leak notes that the Chinese tech giant might unveil two new tablets with upgraded specifications.
Weibo tipster @ExperienceMore says that Huawei has two tablets to release next month. Both devices cleared a few certifications, hinting at their imminent launch.
One of these is the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 tablet. It may support a 100W dual-port fast charger. For capabilities, the alleged tablet could adopt the satellite SMS function alongside the NearLink Technology support for a seamless connection.
Further input hints that MatePad Pro 12.2 could equip the Kirin 9010 chipset. Although it is quite uncertain for now and Huawei has not mentioned any such detail.
The next is the Huawei MatePad 11.95-inch tablet which might belong to the Air series. It will further support 66W fast charging as well as NearLink Technology.
Judging from the specifications, the former tablet may have the model number MRO-W00 while the latter could be BKY-W00. Both these devices have received a 3C certificate so far. However, Huawei has not confirmed its launch date or other details.
Huawei introduced MatePad Pro 11 2024 as the first satellite SMS tablet in the consumer market. Thereafter, many users were expecting to see new satellite features with upcoming tablets. But the firm kept this capability confined to MatePad Pro 11.
It looks like the tech maker is finally planning to bring back satellite SMS capability for its tablets. Although an official statement still awaits on this subject.
