All suppliers such as Intel, Qualcomm and MediaTek resume to supply Honor: CEO
On January 22, Honor held its first launch conference in 2021. In this event, the company has revealed its new V-series smartphone, Honor V40 that comes with a 6.7-inch waterfall display, 50MP camera, Magic UI 4, 120Hz screen refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and more.
After the completion of the launch event, Zhao Ming CEO of Honor gave an interview to Chinese media reporters. During the interview, he said that all the past suppliers of Honor including AMD, Qualcomm, Samsung, Microsoft, Intel, and MediaTek are restricted to supply Honor because of US sanctions.
Now, they have signed agreements with Honor to resume supply. Zhao Ming also discloses that everything is returned to normal including procurement, production, and delivery.
At the end of the interview, Zhao states that Honor will implement a 1+8+N product strategy, with mobile phones as the core, tablets, computers, TVs, and other products as supplements, to create a smart world and build Honor as a global iconic technology brand.
