All Huawei Mate 70 models passed OpenHarmony 5.0 compatibility test
Huawei has launched the Mate 70 series and all four flagship models have qualified for the OpenHarmony 5.0 compatibility test. This makes the entire smartphone lineup more compatible with the native HarmonyOS, its apps, and services.
The Chinese OEM launched the Mate 70 handsets on November 26. Huawei unveiled these phones at a grand-scale event, unlike the previous-gen Mate smartphones.
All these four Huawei Mate 70 models have passed the OpenHarmony 5.0 compatibility test. These handsets received the compatibility test certificate on November 23. Although Huawei didn’t list the details on the official site at that time.
Now the evaluation results confirm that Mate 70 series models (Standard, Pro, Pro+, and RS Ultimate Design) are compatible with the OpenHarmony 5.0.
Up to this point, 16 Huawei devices have passed the OpenHarmony 5.0 compatibility test including the Mate 70 lineup. The list includes Mate 60, Mate 60 Pro, Mate X5, MatePad Pro 13.2, Pura 70 series, Pocket 2, Nova 12 Ultra models, and MatePad Pro 11 2024 tablets.
OpenHarmony 5.0 is the major release version of the OpenHarmony OS. The company has recently released the 5.0.1 version as well with significant improvements.
The OpenHarmony compatibility test ensures that the devices are eligible to run with various business applications. The test further shows how far a device can meet the technical needs of OpenHarmony and how stably it can run with HarmonyOS.
Huawei Mate 70 series comes with four models. These handsets contain a variety of features and AI capabilities. The standard model equips Kirin 9010 whereas the other three devices run on Kirin 9020 chip with improved performance.
The flagship lineup accompanies dual operating systems: HarmonyOS 4.3 and HarmonyOS NEXT. Users who want to use Android apps can choose the first option. Meanwhile, others can adopt the second choice for a faster and safer experience.
