Last week, Huawei launched several new products in China but showed no signs of unveiling its flagship Huawei P70 series, not even a teaser.

Consumers in China raised anticipation when Huawei started unveiling new products upfront on the Chinese social media site, Weibo. The company kept these launches as simple as possible.

First comes the new Huawei MateBook X Pro 2024 version featuring Intel Core Ultra 9 chipset and Pangu AI capabilities. The notebook runs Windows 11 out of the box and has a 120Hz display.

The company unveiled a new HarmonyOS strategy at the HarmonyOS Spring Communication Conference. The firm laid out a new roadmap for the rollout of HarmonyOS 4.2 and shared an update on the development of HarmonyOS NEXT.

Then comes a new smart LUXEED S7 coupe with the HarmonyOS software system. Huawei Band 9 is also one of the newest launches in the past week.

Despite announcing these new products, Huawei remained silent on the P70 series. So, there are no plans to release this new smartphone this year or a new smartphone will replace P70? Let’s look at the details in hand.

Although Huawei has shared no information about this new smartphone but plenty of leaks are available online.

First comes the camera system, Huawei P70 and P70 Pro are likely to use an OV50H main camera sensor. While the P70 Art could equip an IMX989 one-inch main camera. Both cameras will improve light intake and provide bright photographs in output.

Furthermore, the company will improve its imaging system XMAGE with this P series launch. New XMAGE will bring changes in the color composition algorithm and image processing.

The phone’s rear panel is also leaked online with a new camera layout featuring triple sensors. The placement is identical to last year’s Huawei P60 series but its bump has also formed a new triangle.
