A new tablet product named Huawei MatePad 12 X has appeared on the TDRA UAE database. After unveiling new MatePad products in the home ground, it seems the company is preparing to launch a few tablets in the global market as well.

The official TDRA certification website shows a distinct Huawei MatePad 12 X with the model number BKY-W09. It further reveals that the device is a ‘WiFi-only’ variant and is currently in the ‘active’ application status. Thus, it may soon launch globally.

Huawei also listed the MatePad Pro 12.2 tablet on the TDRA database, confirming its global release. It is spotted with the MRO-W09 and belongs to the WiFi-only category.

Other than the model number and product type, the certification didn’t reveal more information. However, it is clear that Huawei is preparing for a global launch of the new MatePad tablets, and UAE will be a major market for these tablets.

MatePad 12 X – a new model in the X series

Huawei has kept an unexpected full stop on the X-tagged models. After the Mate 20X, the company didn’t introduce any X model for regular smartphones to date.

Although the OEM introduced the X-tagged devices in a separate Mate X foldable lineup. It looks like the company is expanding the X-tag to its tablet line with MatePad 12 X. The details aren’t clear for now but we might grab them in the future.
