A new feature update coming to Huawei Watch Fit 3
Huawei Watch Fit 3 will soon receive a new feature update that will allow its users to reply to messages without even taking out smartphones from their pockets. The company is working on this capability and it may roll out in the coming weeks.
The mentioned feature is related to the WeChat app. Some netizens noted earlier that the Huawei Watch Fit 3 doesn’t support the WeChat watch version. As a result, wearable users won’t be able to reply to text messages using their wrist gadgets.
But Huawei Mall said that the OEM is constantly in touch with the WeChat team on this matter and readying a new “reply message” feature update for Watch Fit 3.
As soon as the wearable adapts to the WeChat watch version, the useful message feature will reach the corresponding device owners via the OTA rollout.
Other Features
Huawei Mall store further mentions that the device already supports the WeChat message reminders feature, text viewing facility, WeChat voice and video call reminders, and WeChat smart payment for an instant glance at all important alerts.
The only missing feature is ‘reply to messages’ which enables you to respond to these messages immediately with the smartwatch, omitting the use of a phone. Yet, this void will soon be filled through a new firmware.
“Huawei has a long-term cooperative relationship with WeChat and is actively negotiating with the team to adapt the WeChat watch version to Huawei Watch Fit 3. If the adaptation is completed, it will be upgraded through OTA to add the WeChat message reply feature to Watch Fit 3.” – wrote Huawei Mall.
It is uncertain if the reply to messages will let users opt for all the replying methods like voice reply, emoji reply, quick text reply, or will simply push the text reply feature. However, things will get clear with the upcoming Watch Fit 3 update.
How to enable existing WeChat features?
To enable the WeChat reminders setting on your Watch Fit 3, visit the Huawei Health application on your smartphone. Open the app and go to the device details page. Select the ‘Message Notification’ option and turn on the toggle of the Notifications for WeChat.
