A new EMUI 9.1 update with ultra-low latency Bluetooth rolling out for Huawei Mate 20 series
Huawei is rolling out a new software update with the ultra-low latency Bluetooth technology to provide users with a better experience for the Mate 20 series. This is the first software update after upgrading the Ark compiler and super file system.

The software update version number is EMUI 9.1.0.131, and the update package size is 4.03GB. This update currently rolling out in China but will soon be available globally.
This update is mainly focused on Bluetooth and security. In terms of Bluetooth, Huawei’s ultra-low latency Bluetooth technology has been added to achieve high-quality sound and simultaneous audio and video synchronization, thus providing users with a more exciting audio-visual experience. In terms of security, it has July 2019 security patch to enhance the security of the mobile phone.

- Mate 20 Pro – LYA-AL00, LYA-AL10, LYA-TL00
- Mate 20 RS Porsche Design – LYA-AL00

If you want to check for the update manually you can do this by following the instruction:
Go to Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates. If an update is available, it’ll ask if you want to download it.
If the update does not appear in the settings, we recommend you to request it via HiCare App: Go to HiCare app > tap on Update > click on the checkbox and hit Apply.
