Huawei P60 Pro: Quad curved LTPO display

Huawei P60 Pro comes with an amazing display, which expands by 6.7 inches and has a quad curved design. This is familiar to us because Huawei is the first phone maker to use a quad curve panel in P40 Pro (2020).

Now it has made a comeback with a more polished look and it’s time to know more about its details.

Curved:

As compared to Huawei P40 Pro, Huawei P60 Pro has fewer curves on the left and right sides. And slightly curved edges from top and bottom. However, it looks better from all angles. The screen has a whole punch to house a selfie camera on the top center part.

The quad-curved Huawei P60 Pro display enhances the viewing angles. It also generates waterfall imagery in picture quality.

LTPO:

Another new tech that debuts with the Huawei P60 Pro screen is called LTPO refresh rate. For those who don’t know, LTPO allows Huawei P60 Pro to dynamically switch between 1-120Hz refresh rates, without an additional hardware component between the graphics controller and the graphics processing unit (GPU).

This dynamic functionality helps the phone to save battery life while not using a high refresh rate. For example, the screen will drop down the refresh rate while checking a still image. This will lower the load and power consumption. On the other hand, It will increase the refresh rate, while playing games or watching high-quality video.

Therefore, you won’t have to manually tune into the settings menu.

Display Specifications:

Huawei P60 Pro display has a new Huawei X-TrueTM color enhancement capability, it supports 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and 300Hz touch sampling rate. The company is giving away 2700 x 1220 pixels resolution for high picture quality.

The screen also supports P3 wide color gamut and gained TÜV Rheinland Colour Accuracy Dual Certification (Colour Accuracy & Precise Colour Projection).
