EMUI 13 should be announced May 9th

Huawei has a new launch conference scheduled for May 9th and the company should unveil its latest mobile software, EMUI 13 for all of the global smartphone consumers as well as its rollout dates.

It’s been a long time coming and Huawei now needs to go on stage to announce its newest EMUI edition on stage alongside the P60 Pro and Mate X3. Because the old users are also waiting for their term to grab brand-new capabilities.

Huawei listed this EMUI version in October of last year. However, it remained silent on the roadmap. Instead, Huawei  Mate 50 Pro became the first smartphone to bring a pre-installed EMUI 13 operating system for global users.

Even after that, the software remained hidden from the reach of recent flagship owners including P50 Pro, Mate 40 Pro, and others. In March, Huawei began the EMUI 13 beta, which stayed limited to the East Asian market.

Afterward, Huawei has not yet opened EMUI 13 beta for other models inside Europe or outer regions. The testing is quite late in terms as compared to EMUI 12. Hence, consumers are still waiting for a new upgrade to renew their old user experience.

EMUI 13:

EMUI 13 comes with a variety of new features including the service widgets and it’s the first time making a debut in global smartphones. So, far it has been available only for HarmonyOS but now you can collect information at a glance using service widgets on your phones.

Notably, service widgets may take up a lot of space on your phone’s home screen. Therefore, you can arrange them with stack and group widgets features.

Furthermore, large folders are getting an upgrade as smart folders, which let you change the size and the layout of the smart folder based on the app counts. EMUI 13 also boosts security and privacy using new functionalities.

These new features are really anticipated and we’ll have to find out whether Huawei chose to go vocal about EMUI 13 on May 9th.
