Huawei dividend exceeds $10.1 billion, $79K for each shareholder

Internal Huawei forum announces that 2022’s total share capital of Huawei Investment Holdings is 44,692,463,883 yuan. While the total calculated dividend from this share capital of Huawei comes at 71.955 billion yuan (around $10.1 billion). It shows each shareholder will get an increased share price as compared to 2021.

According to the information, the virtually restricted stock dividend is expected to be RMB 1.61 yuan (0.23 USD) per share. We also reported on this earlier this year. On the other side, the virtual restricted stock price after the dividend is expected to be RMB 7.85 yuan (1.04) per share.

This new dividend will go to current or retired Huawei employees. If the shareholding of employees does not increase and Huawei’s share capital does not increase, the average dividend for Huawei’s shareholding employees approximates 547000 yuan ($79464) per share owner.

Dividend for 2021:

Last, Huawei paid 61.404 billion yuan ($9.65 billion) in dividends for the year 2021. Huawei recorded 197000 employees around the world. Among these, only 131507 were a part of this shareholders scheme.

Looking at the per share cut, Huawei paid 1.58 yuan per share for 2021. It was 1.86 yuan (0.27 USD) per share distributed in 2020. This reduction was led by U.S. sanctions and business restrictions.

So, we can say that Huawei the new $10.1 dividend shows an improvement in the company’s earnings.

Annual Report:

Huawei recently revealed that it has achieved global sales revenue of 642.3 billion yuan in 2022. There’s a net profit of 35.6 billion yuan, and its overall operation is stable throughout the year.

Among these, Huawei’s sales revenue in the operator business field was 284 billion yuan. Huawei’s enterprise business sales revenue was 133.2 billion yuan, and the terminal business sales revenue was 214.5 billion yuan.

Lastly, Huawei boasted 161.5 billion yuan in 2022 for research and development, accounting for 25.1% of the annual revenue.

Huawei Share Owners:

Huawei is owned by a holding company – Huawei Investment & Holding. It has two shareholders, first is the founder, Ren Zhengfei with 1.14% shares. The second shareholder is the “Union of Huawei Investment & Holding”.

The second shareholder has a 99.06% share of the entire firm. Specifically, the entire second shareholder is made up of Huawei employees. This means that 99.06% of the company belongs to the Huawei staff.

The entire stock ownership program is maintained under the “Employee Stock Ownership Program” or ESOP. It’s designed from the very beginning of the company. Shares confer voting rights. Shareholding employees elect members to form a Representatives’ Commission, getting one vote for each share held.
