Open source HarmonyOS is gathering a lot of attention in China, as recently, China’s one of the top browser service providers, Sogou has launched support for HarmonyOS on its smart editor software.
The website of Sogou editor has now added open source HarmonyOS, OpenHarmony application package download link. Once clicked the website will start downloading the .hap package on the corresponding device. Yet, it only supports a few devices, also, it doesn’t support mobile devices.
Other than HarmonyOS, the Sogou editor also supports platforms powered by Microsoft Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux. There are more download options available on the website.
Sogou Editor, also known as Pinyin, provides features for customizing its dictionary, appearance, and function. The dictionary of Sogou Pinyin can be enriched by adding so-called cell dictionaries, which contain words in special fields. The appearance of Sogou Pinyin can be changed using skins and animation. The function of Sogou Pinyin can be extended using extensions such as mouse-writing. Besides Pinyin input, it also includes stroke count method input.
According to the official website, the Sugou editor is used for office, smart education, smart home, mobile travel, smart wearable devices, entertainment devices, fitness, finance, and more.
We tried to download this .hap package on our HarmonyOS device but it’s not accessible. Therefore, we won’t provide a download to this software and we don’t recommend for you do so for the time being.
