4 old Huawei Nova phones begin HarmonyOS 3 beta test
Huawei has started to enroll 4 old Nova series smartphones in HarmonyOS 3 closed beta testing. These include Huawei Nova 6 and Nova 7 lineups, while the company has already staged Nova 8, Nova 9, and 10 series for public beta.
Talking specifically, 4 old Huawei Nova phones consisting of 7 and Nova 7 Pro 5G with models – JEF-AN00, TN20, TN00, and AN20 are required to upgrade with HarmonyOS 2.0.0.273/75 to participate in the HarmonyOS 3 beta activity.
On the other hand, Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G with models WLZ – AL10 and AN00 are required to get HarmonyOS 271/72 to get the latest HarmonyOS 3 beta.
HarmonyOS 3:
HarmonoyOS 3 comes with new features including improved large folders with various layouts and smart widget management capabilities. On the other hand, the software also improves overall performance to provide a new user experience.
Requirement:
Huawei Nova 7 series and Nova 6 series are entitled to 400 slots for the log version and 1800 slots for nolog version. Huawei will open recruitment dates between November 9, 2022, to November 16.
Upgrade notes:
- Please make sure that the mobile phone has more than 8G internal storage space, otherwise, there will be a risk of failure to upgrade (check the storage space method: Settings > Storage).
- Please make sure your phone is not rooted.
- Please make sure that the device is logged in to the HUAWEI ID in advance. If you are not logged in, you need to log in before you can register.
