Huawei launches 40W candy charger with USB-A and C fusion ports

Today, Huawei has launched a new 40W candy rock all-around charger at 139 yuan (19 USD). The official description said that this is the first model certified with Universal Fast Charging Specification (UFCS) protocol and compatible with multi-brand smartphones.

Talking about the design, the Huawei 40W candy charger weighs 52 grams and has an innovative precision stacking structure. The charger has a power density of up to 1.19W/cm3.

It uses GaN co-packaged chips and mini planar transformers to reduce the product volume by nearly 48 percent.

The most interesting part of the charger comes in its interface, which includes a fusion of USB-A and USB-C. You can use this as USB-C to USB-C and USB-C for lighting. On the other hand, USB-A to USB-C, USB-A to Micro, and USB-A to lighting.

In terms of compatibility, the latest charger supports top models – Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro, P50, P50 Pro, and P50 Pocket. On the other hand, it also supports models – Mate 9 series, Mate 10 series, P10 series, P20 series, P30 lineup, Mate RS, and Mate 20 series.

China Communications Standards Association (CCSA) and Telecommunication Terminal Industry Association jointly launched the first batch of 11 fast charging certifications including 4 terminals, 5 adapters, and 2 mobile terminals from 6 companies.

On the other hand, chip products cover phones, fast charging chips, and charging devices from Xiaomi, Oppo, Huawei, and mobile devices.
