Huawei Watch GT 3/Runner August 2022 update brings new door key feature

Once again, Huawei has started rolling out the August 2022 update for its intelligent wearables – the Watch GT 3 /Runner. But surprisingly, the update packs some new tweaks and optimizations in its bag this time. Besides, it brings a unique door key feature that will amplify the travel experience to the next level.

With the August 2022 HarmonyOS update, the Chinese manufacturer has mainly worked on some smart car features for Huawei Watch GT 3 and GT Runner smartwatches. It has implemented several functions that make car navigation more efficient for a user.

However, the star of the show is a significant door key feature that unlocks and opens the door with simple touch gestures. Further, the respective function supports the standard as well as the Pro version of Huawei Smart Door Lock.

Thereafter, the update also brings a handful of new optimizations related to various reflective modes of the device. It enhances the Do Not Disturb and the Swimming mode for a comprehensive experience. Moreover, it mends the responsiveness of outdoor activities. As a result, now users can achieve a more accurate training report.

The new firmware is approaching the wearables with HarmonyOS 2.1.0.399 build and carries a massive package size of 125.36MB. Hence, make sure to have ample space in your mini gadget to feed it with the latest update.

• Do not disturb mode can set multiple time periods.
• Optimizes the swimming mode interface. Now you can select the default swimming pool length or custom length by rotating the crown in the swimming pool preparation interface, which is more convenient to operate.
• Optimizes the accuracy of swimming distance and stroke recognition accuracy.
• You can enter and execute a custom running course or smart running plan by rotating the crown and pressing the lower button combination.
• Added intensity interval indications for custom running courses and smart running plans, making it easy to observe and adjust training status at any time.
