Honor 8X getting a new EMUI 9.0.1 update with may security patch

Honor has released a new software update for the Honor 8X smartphone. The latest software update brings the May 2019 security patch along with Google security patches.

The software version of this update is EMUI 9.0.1.172 and it is 555MB in size. This update is rolling out in India.

Some of our readers have reported that they experienced a bad battery life, and overall performance also dropped. While we tested our Honor 8X with this new update; We didn’t face any issue yet.

Additionally, Honor rolling out another software update with version EMUI 9.0.1.173 in other regions. This update also brings the May 2019 security patch. This update added improved camera performance and specific issues related to file system.
