Huawei ranks among under top three wearables vendors worldwide (2021)
Recently, Canalys released the 2021’s global wearables shipment report in which the top three vendors are Apple, Xiaomi, and Huawei. As per the report, the global wearables device shipment will hit 193 million with a year-on-year growth of 4.3%.
Following the data report, Apple tops the list with shipped units of over 39 million and noted a growth rate of 11.8%. While the second position is captured by Xiaomi with 29 million units with a decrease of 23% YoY.
Among the top five wearables vendors, the third rank is secured by Huawei with 19 million devices with a YoY decline of 40% because of Huawei and Honor’s separation as well as other sanctions. Moreover, Fitbit and Samsung are fourth and fifth with an increase of 12.7% and 52.7% respectively.
What’s the status in the Chinese market:
On the home ground, Huawei leads the board with 30% unit shares and a 25% YoY decline followed by Xiaomi with 20% shipped units, Honor with 7%, Apple with 6%, and OPPO with 3%.
Huawei annual report 2021:
Huawei’s overall operation is stable with global sales revenue of 636.8 billion yuan, a net profit of 113.7 billion yuan with an increase of 75.9% year on year (YoY). In the future, Huawei will continue to increase R&D investment.
In 2021, R&D investment will reach 142.7 billion yuan accounting for 22.4% of the annual revenue. The accumulated R&D expenditure in ten years exceeds 845 billion yuan.
