Meng Wanzhou will attend Huawei 2021 Annual Report Conference

Today, Huawei is going to host the 2021 Annual Report Conference at 4:30 PM (China time). At the Huawei conference, Huawei’s rotating chairman – Guo Ping, and vice-chairman as well as CFO – Meng Wanzhou will be present to attend the performance briefing.

More importantly, it is the first public appearance of Meng Wanzhou at the Huawei conference after returning to China. A short intro about Meng, she is graduated and did master’s from Huazhong University. In 1993, she joined Huawei and served as Director of Huawei’s International Accounting Department, Cheif Financial Office at Huawei Hong Kong, and President of the Accounting Management Department.

Coming to the conference, Huawei will present the annual financial data reports of 2021 in detail as well as introduce the company’s future layout and business strategy. Further, Huawei will hold a question-answer session with news reporters.

According to information, Huawei is continuing to increase its Research and Development programs to meet challenges in the development process. Additionally, it is also focusing on new software ecosystems such HarmonyOS AKA Hongmeng OS and Euler to provide better software capabilities.

Furthermore, Huawei has already revealed some of 2021’s performance data in the New year 2022’s speech. The company mentioned that the overall 2021’s sales revenue is about 634 billion yuan with a decline of 28.9% year on year.

However, the fourth quarter’s sales revenue was fell by 19% accounted for 178.2 billion yuan. During the New Year speech, Guo Ping said Huawei’s business performance is steadily growing healthily. The overall condition of the company is in line as expected.

Also, he added the external environment remains turbulent, and the ICT industry is facing challenges such as technology politicization and globalization. Huawei must maintain a strategic focus and respond rationally to external forces.
