US-China Trade War: Trump wants to impose $300 billion on Chinese imports

Donald Trump on Thursday said he would make a decision about whether to impose further tariffs on Chinese imports after the meeting with the Chinese president on the sidelines of G-20 summit in Japan.

“Our talks with China, a lot of interesting things are happening. We’ll see what happens,” Trump said, according to Reuters, without giving details on what goods could be targeted. “I could go up another at least $300 billion and I’ll do that at the right time.”

“One way or another I’ll make that decision after the G20. I’ll be meeting with President Xi (Jinping) and we will see what happens,” Trump said.

“But I think China wants to a make a deal badly,” he said at Ireland’s Shannon Airport on his way to France for the 75th anniversary of the D-Day invasion.

Trade escalation between two country has been raising day by day and China today, also said that it would go to the end if the US wants to escalate these trade issues further.
