Honor Play 4T (Magic UI 3.1) grabbing December 2021 security update

Honor Play 4T smartphone is receiving the latest security update released in December 2021 for improved system security. The installation of regular security patches increases the security of the device against CVEs and protects the user’s personal data.

The December 2021 Magic UI security update fixes 2 critical, 15 high, and a massive 38 number of CVE found in the system. In addition to this, it also resolves the total of 29 CVE in the third-party libraries.

As per the information, this software update for Honor Play 4T comes with a new Magic UI 3.1 version 3.1.0.158, which is promoted from 3.1.0.159. To be mentioned, Huawei has upgraded the least possible Huawei and Honor device to HarmonyOS operating system.

The Honor Play 4T was initially launched with Magic UI 2 software system based 0n Android 10 and currently running on Magic UI 3.1. The company has not even sent the Magic UI 4 major update nor upgraded it HarmonyOS. But, Chinese tech maker is continuously serving monthly software update for this smartphone.

To manually download this update via mobile Settings– open Settings > click on the System & updates > open Software update > tap on Check for updates option > (if an update is available) click on Download and install > after installation, restart the device.

Alternatively, you can download it via My Huawei App – open My Huawei app on your device > click on the update button> tap on Check for update option> (if an update is available) click on Download and install > after installation reboot the device.
