Google apps are not working on Huawei EMUI 12?
Huawei has released the EMUI 12 beta software for eligible device owners in Europe as well as in the global market. People who signed up for the testing process can download and install the EMUI beta version via OTA update. However, there’s one specific question that some of the users have asked us on this matter “whether my Google apps will work on Huawei EMUI 12?” Let’s find out.
According to the information, Huawei EMUI 12 beta comes with a bunch of new features but the internals of this software reveals the presence of Android 10, which makes it equivalent to EMUI 11. Therefore, the app support engine of the software remains the same and only the user interface side has been seemingly changed.
On the other hand, there are a number of new addition that has been made in the features sections including – the new Control Panel, notification center, better file sharing, and other essential features that weren’t there before.
Google Apps on EMUI 12?
We all know that Huawei cannot officially install Google Mobile Services AKA GMS suite on new Huawei devices including and after Huawei Mate 30 series. Therefore, the consumers need to try workarounds or third-party solutions to install all of their favorite Google-related apps such as the Play Store on smartphones.
Still, there’s no concurrent solution to install Google apps directly on EMUI 11 or EMUI 10.1 but some old phone users have installed these apps since EMUI 10.1 and kept upgrading over to the latest EMUI version. This cycle led them to upgrade the entire software version while keeping the essential Google apps on their phones.
Related to this, EMUI 12 is not an exception to this theory and process Google apps from past EMUI versions to the latest without any hassle. So, yes, if you’ve installed the Google apps before installing the newest EMUI version, they may work the same as before.
