Monthly and Quarterly: October 2021 EMUI Devices

Huawei has announced the October 2021 EMUI security patch details ahead of October. The update brought a total of 102 CVEs vulnerability fixes acknowledged by Huawei. Among them, 46 CVEs are recognized by Android and the rest 56 by the phone maker.

Furthermore, the Android patch includes 1 critical level, 27 are high, and 2 medium level CVE fixes alongside the other 16 issues fixed with last month’s update rollout. As for Huawei, its long list includes 37 Medium, 13 high, and 6 low levels of CVEs fixes.

This October 2021 EMUI update will further enhance and optimize the device’s performance. So, it’s recommended to install this update as soon it reaches your device. However, the company is yet to initiates this rollout. To be mentioned, Huawei has rapidly rolled out the September 2021 update for many of its devices and skipped the August patch knowingly.

On the other hand, the same goes for the HarmonyOS powered by devices, which have been fully toasted with the September 2021 HarmonyOS patches. Both of these equations seem very identical and the company may want to match the rollout procedure on this matter. However, nothing is certain at the moment.

Still, there are many models that currently run EMUI software, especially the global ones. Therefore, we’ll explore all of the Huawei devices that are eligible to receive the October 2021 EMUI update.
