Huawei Mate 40 models getting HarmonyOS multi-window bug fix update
Huawei Mate 40 series comes as one of the most power-packed flagship lineups that are powered by the first-ever 5nm processor. This series features a brand new camera system that starts from triple to Penta arrangements.
The global models of the Mate 40 series run EMUI 11, but the Chinese variants have already installed HarmonyOS 2.0. The latest operating system has various new features and provides a number of new capabilities for a better user experience as compared to the EMUI software system.
As a new OS, HarmonyOS has its own issues and bugs that appeared in the early adaptation program. Therefore, the Chinese tech maker has fixed them with software patch rollouts.
In the latest edition, Huawei is sending a new software update for the Huawei Mate 40 series that comes fixes for an important issue on the multi-window mode.
According to the changelog, the Huawei Mate 40 Multi-window bug fix update comes with HarmonyOS 2.0.0.168 and there’s an update size of around 365MB. Aside from fixing this issue the update also brings a new security patch for the consumers.

- Fixes an issue where some app icons on the Multi-Dinwo dock would not respond to touches.

- Integrates security patches for improved system security
Update Notes:
- The update will not erase any of your personal data but we recommend you back up important data before updating.
- The update package will be deleted automatically after the update is complete.
The users can check for the OTA update in Settings >> System & updates >> Update >> Check for updates >> Download and install. If the update is available we recommend you download and install it as soon is appears.
