HarmonyOS 2 completes 40 million installations, Huawei P10 and Mate 9 next to upgrade
Huawei officially confirmed that HarmonyOS 2 has been installed in over 40 million devices. This is another big milestone for this new operating system, and the company also announced that the Huawei Mate 9 and P10 devices are next in line to test the HarmonyOS 2 beta software update.
HarmonyOS 2 was launched on June 2, the operating system brings a lot of new features and a new user interface for the consumers. It has a lot of new features powered by the distributed capabilities.
On the day of its unveiling, Huawei lay down a roadmap of over 100 devices that will upgrade to HarmonyOS, this list also includes some of the oldest models such as Huawei Mate 9 and P10 devices.
However, Huawei has not yet announced the rollout detail for the global consumers, which is much awaited.
HarmonyOS 40 million Milestones:
According to previous information, HarmonyOS 2 completed 10 million installations in under one week, followed by 18 million upon the completion of 15 days.
On July 8, the Chinese tech maker officially confirmed that HarmonyOS installation has exceeded 30 million active users.
This progress shows us that HarmonyOS 2 has a long way to go and the company is working more and more to provide the best software experience to the least possible device.
However, we still want to see, whether Huawei will be able to provide the same user experience for the global consumers and more importantly, when.
Devices Upgraded with HarmonyOS 2:
As for your information, Huawei has already upgraded devices from the Huawei Mate 40, Mate 30, Mate 20, Mate 10, P40, P30, P20, P10 series, as well as tablet devices such as Huawei MatePad Pro and MediaPad M6 lineups.
Furthermore, Honor smartphones are also on the list of HarmonyOS 2 eligible devices and some of top models are testing the HarmonyOS 2 features in China.
