Huawei P30, Mate 20 Series and more enters HarmonyOS 2 public beta, check the devices
Today, Huawei has opened the third phase of HarmonyOS 2.0 public beta testing for devices including old flagships – P30 and Mate 20 series alongside Huawei Nova 7 SE, MatePad 5G, and more. As previously, it was reported that the third phase beta program will start in July but the early arrival is really surprising.
This early adaption shows that Huawei has sped up the HarmonyOS 2 beta program in mainland China in order to expand the HarmonyOS operating system in the global market as soon as possible.
HarmonyOS 2.0:
HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system is designed for Huawei devices with a strong aim to reduce dependency on Google’s Android as well as installing this operating system in third-party smartphones. Additionally, the company wants to completely replace the EMUI custom skin based on Android with HarmonyOS 2 on its devices.
In this context, Huawei has announced the target to install HarmonyOS 2.0 OS in 360 million by the end of this year and cover 1.23 billion in 2022.

HarmonyOS 2.0 brings a whole new user interface including home screen, control panel, service center, HarmonyOS font, better security, and others to provide a brand new user experience.

Still, HarmonyOS’s rollout is limited to the Chinese models and may soon be opened for global consumers.
