HarmonyOS Apps and Games section launched on Huawei AppGallery
After the unveiling of HarmonyOS 2 operating system for consumers, Huawei is working tirelessly and sped up HarmonyOS beta testing on the home ground. This year, the company aims to cover 360 million devices under the umbrella of HarmonyOS.
On June 2, the Chinese tech giant also released the smart products powered by HarmonyOS 2.0 system. This HarmonyOS includes MatePad Pro tablets, the Watch 3 series, Mate 40 Pro 4G smartphone, and more devices.
With the official introduction, Huawei has also donated the HarmonyOS source code, OpenHarmony to OpenAtom Foundation from where the developer can fetch the project and develop apps and services according to their preference.
On the other hand, the company is also providing developer support with the HarmonyOS development tool – DevEco Studio to develop, test, and debug as well as deploy apps for developers.
Previously, Huawei has launched the HarmonyOS application zone in Huawei AppGallery. Now, according to the latest information, the company has added a specified column for HarmonyOS games, which are compatible with devices running the new OS.
To enter the HarmonyOS section, users need to search “Hongmeng” in the search bar of AppGallery, which makes HarmonyOS app search and downloading easier.
Furthermore, it was reported that the Huawei AppGallery has developed an application based on the “HMOS” known as HarmonyOS. This would allow developers to add an HM OS logo on the bottom side of the app icon to identify as the HarmonyOS app.
