It has been really long time since Google sent any update for its Weather app for Android users. But looking at the recent activity, we can say that Google already has a new plan for app.

Last week, a new revamp UI  has been detected for the Google Weather app on Android, which is rolling out to those on the latest beta. This new redesign UI comes with many surprises, let’s explore them.

This new UI design has a rectangular search bar with round corners and new tabs – Today, Tomorrow, and 10 Days. It makes it more apparent to look for the day and predict whether.

Furthermore, the navigation drawer has been superseded by the users’ profile icon placed in the upper-right corner. From here, users are allowed to manage their Google account settings.

In addition, it has options- Temperature units, add to the home screen, and send feedback. So, users can change the temperature units and add the shortcut on their home screen for frequent use.  In case of encountering bugs or being not satisfied with the features, they can also send feedback.

Talking about the new styling of this app nothing has changed much, the stark white cloured status bar matches with the color of the navigation bar while previously, it was themed to the current weather condition.

Apart from this, there are no major changes, night forecasting experience nor in the new features. Meanwhile, it has some problems in switching between two cities in the search bar the full list of saved locations is not properly loading. We are expecting that Google will soon fix these issues.

Availability and Version:

This new update has version number 12.20, which is currently served under beta activity. It will soon be available in a stable built and widely rollout for the users.
