Not only Qualcomm but Huawei HarmonyOS will join more chipmakers’ platforms
On May 18, Huawei organized a HarmonyOS Ecological Partner Summit on the theme “Create Infinite Possibilities Together”. During this event, the company has joined Huawei Connect Hardware and Powered by HarmonyOS merged them as HarmonyOS Connect.
At the moment, the Chinese tech giant is mainly focusing on HarmonyOS and its plans to make the operating system a great success. Also, HarmonyOS 2.0 developer beta testing is underway and proceeded towards the second phase.
Aside from beta testers, more Huawei device users are eagerly waiting to get their hands on HarmonyOS. As recently, it was reported that Huawei will launch the stable HarnonyOS 2.0 on June 2.

Alongside HarmonyOS 2.0, some smartphone models from Huawei Mate 40, Mate 30, P40 series, and Mate X2 able to install HarmonyOS 2.0 developer beta in the first batch of the rollout.
Today, a Weibo tipster – Factory Fans discloses that Huawei’s own developed HarmonyOS not only support Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin platform but also adapts multiple-platform. So the new news is that the HarmonyOS version is not only limited to Qualcomm but more platforms lineup to join the platform that is yet to be confirmed.
According to the previous information, some third-party smartphone makers have begun talks with Huawei in order to adopt the HarmonyOS on their devices. As HarmonyOS is an open-source operating system, it can be easily acquirable.
Moreover, it was also reported that Huawei has future plans to integrate HarmonyOS with other processors like Qualcomm and MediaTek, which could provide an extra potential to Huawei’s plan with HarmonyOS expansion.
Not only expansion but Huawei will open more options for the third party phone makers to inherit this HarmonyOS in their smartphones.
