Huawei Mate X smartphone receiving new optimizations and March 2021 security patch
Huawei is pushing out a new software update for the first folding phone – Huawei Mate X running on EMUI 11. This update comes with a bunch of changes and improvements for system and security.
According to the latest changelog, it added a smart information setting to provide you more convenient services, quick download icons, optimizations for call stability, sound effect, compatibility with some third-party applications as well as March 2021 security improvements.
March 2021 Security Patch Details: This security patch fixes 2 critical, 13 high, and 132 medium levels of CVEs for improved system security.
Recently, Huawei Mate Xs smartphone users received the March 2021 security improvements, which defend the devices against threats and enhances overall device performance.

Huawei Mate X smartphone users can identify this update with EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.139 upgraded from 11.0.0.137
CHANGELOG:
- System: Added smart information setting items. After opening, it can intelligently identify the content of SMS and provide you with more convenient services.
- Apps: Added quick download icons for apps such as Honor Mall, Honor Club, and Education Center.
- Call: Optimize the call stability in some scenes
- Sound: Optimize the sound experience in some scenes
- App: Optimize compatibility with some third-party applications
- Security: Incorporate the March 2021 security patch to enhance the security of the mobile phone system.

UPDATE INSTRUCTION:
Download via Settings:
- Open Settings
- Click on the System & Updates
- Open Software update
- Tap on Check for updates option
- If an update is available, click on Download and install
- After installation Reboot the device

- Open the Support app on your device
- Go to the Service tab
- Click on the update button
- Tap on Check for update option
- If an update is available, click on Download and install
