Huawei is about to bring a number of new devices powered by the Hongmeng OS (HarmonyOS) but the company has decided to put this new software not in the entry-level devices but directly on the flagship models.

In this equation, comes the Huawei MatePad Pro 2 tablet, previous leaks suggest that this tablet will come with a bigger display compared to the first-gen MatePad Pro and HarmonyOS software system.

As recently, a blogger from Weibo has also come into play with this matter and shared the first look at the home screen of the HarmonyOS powered Huawei MatePad Pro 2. The screenshot shared by the blogger reveals an interesting dock menu sitting at the bottom side with familiar but stylish icons set and looks absolutely awesome.

However, it’s not a single dock style it’s a double different space dock design that looks even better.

Also, the overall design of the user interface looks very clear and feels more natural compared to the EMUI 11 system but the icons set is still the same.

To be mentioned the doc bar looks very similar to the iPad’s iPad OS but it has its own dual dock design which sets it in a different class.

Some people, who may not believe that Huawei has done the new dock system on its own, need to see the following.

According to the patent design application submitted by Huawei in 2020 for “Display Screen Panel with Graphical User Interface for Dock”, the Hongmeng Pad OS interface applied to the tablet devices was the same.

In the picture, Huawei’s new tablet introduced the bottom Dock bar, and the docking area may also be used the left and right “double Dock bar” design, the overall picture is simple and clean, and easy to operate. Also, these docks are adjustable so, users will be able to add or delete shortcuts from them.

Still, it’s unclear whether Huawei will move forward with this user interface or planning to optimize it even further for the final release.

Other than this, the blogger doesn’t reveal secondary information. However, previous reports might reveal some interesting facts for you.

Huawei MatePad Pro 2:

According to the previous report, Huawei MatePad Pro 2 has passed Telecommunication Equipment’s Network Access Managements (TENAA), which confirmed that this device has pre-installed HarmonyOS and it’ll be the first Huawei tablet to do so.

Other than this, the tablet will launch in two 12-inch display sizes including a variant with a 12.2-inch size and another with a 12.6-inch size. The Huawei MatePad Pro 2 is powered by Kirin 9000 chipset, packs with 40W super-fast charging.

Currently, Huawei has not come up with a launch date but we may have to wait a bit more to get the unveiling date from the Chinese tech giant.
