Huawei reportedly gifts 40 billion yuan worth of shares to 100,000 employees

The latest news coming from Chinese media discloses that Huawei’s rotating chairman, Mr. Ken Hu recently announced that Huawei will continue to issue stock dividends in 2021 within the company. It is also expected that the per-share rate will be 1.86 yuan.

Huawei claims that it is a 100% employee-owned company. According to the financial report 2019, the company has more than 100,000 employees holding shares. As of now, after completing one to three years in the company, employees can issue virtual stocks based on their performance.

Ren Zhengfei, Founder and Chairman of Huawei, insists that approximately 1 percent of the shares of Huawei’s holding company keep by Huawei Investment & Holding. The remainder of the shares held by a trade union committee that is claimed to be representative of Huawei’s employee-shareholders.

It was reported that in 2018, Huawei’s share reached 22.2 billion but the major increment is noted in the past two years. Currently, the company has implemented at least 40 billion in dividends.
