Huawei patents a phone design with small rear display and quad camera system

On August 14, 2020, CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Administration) has published a new patent from Huawei, filed in January 2020. (via Tigermobile) The patent shows interesting features and design specs Huawei’s smartphone experiment.

The phone design shown in the patent includes a curved display, however, there’s no notch or hole-punch carved in the render. On the left side, it has volume adjustment keys followed by a power button.

The bottom side contains a sim-card tray, USB Type-C port, and speaker grills. The left side remains plain and similar to the top side.

The rear quad camera system has three designs including four cameras and a small display. This camera system has three following variations.

1. Two cameras placed on the left and right side and a display placed between them.
2. The quad-camera system in square shape placed on top and a display below the camera system.
3. The quad-camera system in square shape placed below a small display.
