EMUI 11 Beta testing to start in late September, launch at HDC 2020
Huawei will launch the EMUI 11 at Huawei Developer Conference (HDC) 2020 on September 10. This new EMUI version will be based on open-source Android 11 and will also introduce new features.
Previously we reported that EMUI 11 will bring more Distributed Technology related features such as additions to the Multi-screen collaboration and cross-device experience.
Now, a well-known tipster from Weibo – Changan Digital shared some information about the EMUI 11 and its new Distributed Technology features but he also spotted some light on its Beta testing date.
According to the tipster, EMUI 11 internal/closed beta may start by the end of September or the beginning of October. You can check the list of eligible Huawei devices on our EMUI 11 dedicated article linked below.
The first recipient of this beta testing will be the Huawei P40 series followed by the Mate 30 series and others. Honor will join the Magic UI 4 testing with Honor 30 series and so on.
On August 9, 2019, Huawei announced the EMUI 10 at HDC 2019 and started the internal beta registration by early September. EMUI 10.x is also the first EMUI software that’s based open-source Android (for HMS devices).
The EMUI 11 will come pre-installed on Huawei Mate 40 series around October. A leak regarding the EMUI 11 also reveals that the Huawei Mate 40 Pro will come equipped with EMUI 11, while the Mate 40 may come with EMUI 10.x.
Currently, Huawei has not announced an official testing or rollout plan of the EMUI 11 but more info about the EMUI 11 will be unveiled at HDC 2020.
