AI Touch improvements and July 2020 security update rolling for Huawei P40 series (CN-Models)

Throughout recent months, Huawei P40 series has received a number of new software updates for feature and system improvements, especially in the camera segment.

Now the Chinese versions of the Huawei P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro Plus started receiving new updates, which improves the user experience with AI Touch in certain situations and also includes Android patches for improved system security.

CHANGELOG:

Security: Integrated Android security patches released in July 2020 for improved system security.

July 2020 Security Patch Details:

The July 2020 security update installs Android patches from Huawei and Google, fixing different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 5 critical and 9 high levels of CVEs. There is no Medium and Low level of CVEs found.

EMUI VERSION:

These new improvements for the Huawei P40 series comes with EMUI version 10.1.0.150 (SP1C00E150R3P7) and package size of around 740MB.

Note:

  • The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
  • EMUI package size may vary.
  • It’s not certain this update also rolled out for the global versions.
