Under screen camera technology may debut as Huawei exclusive

Huawei is likely to be the first smartphone maker to introduce Visionox’s under-screen camera solution as an exclusive for this year. On the other hand, it’ll be used by other phone makers in 2021, reveals information from Weibo.

Huawei could use Visionox’ under-display camera solution in the Honor Magic 3 device set to launch later this year. However, the company will not use this new type of display in its flagship just from the beginning. (via Gizmochina)

Honor’s Magic devices are known for its FullView display experiments, the first Honor Magic device used AMOLED 3D curved panel and the Magic 2 used sliding display mechanism. Using an under-screen camera on Magic 3 will definitely make some sense.

Visionox Under Screen Camera Solution

Earlier this week, Visionox announced the world’s first mass production of the under-display camera system. The Chinese display maker also shared details of this new display technology.

According to the information, under-display camera solutions made by Visionox uses new transparent OLED panels, new circuits, pixel structures, and highly transparent new materials.

Visionox will also provide assistant to phone makers to install and configure this under screen display solution including software and algorithms to manage brightness, and other important aspects of the display settings.
