Honor V30 series April security update rolling out

Honor V30 series launch is primarily based among Chinese consumers, as the phone series already started to receive Magic UI 3.1 beta with new set of features.

Since not all users have signed up for Magic UI 3.1 beta, the existing Honor V30 series users on Magic UI 3.0 now receiving a new software update that brings improvements for its system and security.

Security:

Integrates Android security patches released in April 2020 for improved system security. The April 2020 security update brings security patches from Google and brings fixes to 5 critical, 12 high and 1 medium levels of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).

System: 

The update improves system stability for better performance.

Magic UI VERSIONS:

Honor V30 and V30 Pro receiving the latest changes and improvements with Magic UI version 3.0.1.178 upgrading from Magic UI 3.0.1.170 and 3.0.1.173 respectively.

Note: This rollout is related to the Chinese models.

HOW TO UPDATE:

Open Settings
Click on ‘System & updates’
Click on ‘Software update’
Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
Click on ‘Download and install’
